I read this book when it was first published and thoroughly enjoyed it. I bought additional copies as gifts for nieces and nephews, who loved it. Having known the author (from aerobics classes) I looked forward to this historically correct novel. As I now buy a copy for my nanny's son, I anxiously await any new additions to her series. Your kids will like reading this book!!
Great book, very entertaining.

This book has everything. It has history, technology, sports. The book was very interesting and hard to put down. I am looking forward to reading other books about Flattop and his adventures.

The Kid Who Got Zapped Through Time is that rare combination of humor, history and entertainment. I'm going to be looking for more books by Deborah Scott. The young hero of Kid Who Got Zapped is someone other kids can relate to--boys and girls alike. He's into computers and baseball, and when a computer game zaps him into the middle ages he has to do a lot of adapting. His adventures are the basis for some great storytelling, with the reader getting an insightful and honest history lesson pain-free. Definitely a "must read" for any middle grader.
