Fans of Southern women's fiction have cause to rejoice. Viqui Litman's "The Ladies Farm," her delightful tale about love, sex, and a really bad hair day, is now available in a Kensington Trade Paperback edition -- and it promises to have ladies all over the country laughing, sobbing, smiling ruefully in recognition -- and generally having a wonderful time. What can four girlfriends do when they lose a husband. . .or several? Open the Ladies Farm, a charming inn and day spa set in the Texas hill country. The proud proprietors are Pauline, guiding light of the group. . .writer-in-residence Della. . .no nonsense business manager Kat. . .and Rita, a sassy beautician specializing in Texas big hair. Together, they're going to make the Ladies Farm the best damn getaway in the country for women who need a retreat, . .from men.And things are going great -- until big-bottomed, spoiled silly Barbara Morrison zooms up in her red T-Bird -- bringing trouble along for the ride. Now, a piece of prime real estate, a feisty circle of friends, and a bombshell set to rock The Ladies Farm are on a collision course in a hilarious, true-to-life tale
Although predictable it was a great read and unforgetable. Friendships are the best and these ladies made sure that they were there for each other and just goes to show what we will forget and forgive in the end eh!

This book was a little on the predictable side, but Litman managed to keep me interested in all the characters right up to the end. The book had all the right ingredients- humor, sadness, and happiness. She's a promising author- I can' wait to read more of her books.

The cover and title of this book caught my eye on the new book shelf at my local library. I started reading after work and couldn't put it down. The plot is ingenious and the story fast-paced. I fell in love with the characters right off the bat and I wanted to immediately call The Ladies Farm and make myself a reservation! A wonderful, delightful first book. I hope you're working on your next one, Ms. Litman!

I becamed consumed with each character. In between readings I thought about the characters and imagined what would happen next. It made me laugh and cry. I was dissappointed when I had no more pages to read, I miss the characters, they were all so charming. I'm eager for a sequal.
