The Lady and the Cad is a compelling story wonderfully reflected in its title. If there was ever a true mismatch, the Earl of Sutton and Eunice were it. The author does a masterful job at showing Eunice's innocence and her love for the Lord. That, combined with the Earl's lost state and desire for something better than what he'd always settled for, created a compelling story. This romance novel is truly inspirational and a real page turner. Better even than the regency novels written by Lori Wick (of which I've read all,) I highly recommend this Heartsong title. The author truly has a voice suited to the Regency period and I haven't read a more intriguing tale written by a Christian author reflecting that stuffy era. :)
