When I ordered this book I thought I was getting a reference book on the language of flowers, not a novel. I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline of this book and the struggles of a foster child to achieve independence and learn to allow love and be loved. Beautiful story, one I am glad I accidentally found! This book flows easily from the first sentence.

I recommend this book! It goes through Victoria’s life as a ten year old in the foster care system, then as an 18 year old trying to find her way in the world. I really enjoyed learning about the language of flowers too!
