A Read with Jenna Today Show Book Club Pick "A richly observed novel, both ambitious and welcoming." -- Meg WolitzerAn Instant New York Times BestsellerNamed a Best Book of the Month by Goodreads -... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is SO BAD I couldn’t finish it. Her writing & wording is lovely at some points but this story literally goes nowhere. I’m sorry I tried so hard to like it it’s just not worth reading. It’s so uneventful. It’s so predictable when there is stuff going on & it’s basically like people watching but in a super Unfun depressingly long way. Idk how to explain it but if you want to watch someone’s life unfold go sit outside at the gas station & you’ll have more fun. I feel so bad for saying it’s bad but I wasted so much time tying to read it I hope no one else does too. Unless you’re just into super drawn out very long uneventful stories than this is def for you
You will feel part of the Skinner family before you finish the last page

Great writing, good plots. It is so detailed and rich in emotion. Conklin paints out her scenes so wonderful.
