Rather than being a catalogue of positions, Ferrer's book satisfies our curiousities about different practices and encourages readers to experiment. My favorite part is her instructions and exercises for becoming a better kisser. She labels different kinds of kisses and gives suggestions for inexperienced and unpartnered readers. You might find the different sexual positions in other how-to sex books but not with their Spanish names - which was kind of fun. Written for women as the primary audience, Ferrer gives practical advice on dating and how to tell whether your current boyfriend is actually good for you. She discusses setting limits and how to end relationships in a respectful way. I haven't seen good solid dating advice in a book with practical sexual information before. I bought this book for my young adult daughter who is not very experienced with sex or with men - after all, I'm not going to be there when she needs to make those decisions! The book is definitely written for a Latina audience who date Latin men and their cultural influences on relationships. However I do not feel that is a detriment in recommending this book for a broader female audience. Older women dating again after ending a long relationship may enjoy the advice and techniques in making a fresh start. Ferrer promotes body pride no matter what your figure type and size. She feels all women are delicious and sexy and deserve to treat themselves as such. Spicy hot!
