A Holiday Reality Check

Wes Magee combines his artistry of poetry with today's real world problems to help children realize that there is more to Christmas than just Santa and receiving material gifts. Most of the children who will hear this book have never experienced homelessness and the kind of rejection that the ragged little boy experiences. This story held fourteen 3 and 4 year olds spellbound and silent to the end. Additionally it touched the hearts of the entire teaching staff and reminded us that our problems were trivial in comparison. Definitely a holiday "must read" from now on!
