R to L (Japanese Style) The manga adapation of the legendary video game series, now available in English for the first time Become part of the Legend - the Legend of Zelda The Legend of Zelda is a high-fantasy adventure based on the wildly successful and long-running video game series by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. In February 2000, Shogakukan began publication of manga artist Akira Himekawa's adaptation of nine of the most well known Nintendo games in the series. Each story follows the adventures of Link, the hero of the video game series, as he battles the forces of evil to save the Sacred Realm. Oracle of Seasons: In a small village in Hyrule, there lives a boy called Link who has the mark of the Triforce on his left hand. It is a mark of destiny that once again leads Link on a fantastic adventure Transported to the land of Holodrum, Link meets Din, the Oracle of Seasons. But a plot to steal the seasons from Holodrum unfolds and Link must battle the evil General Onox to save Holodrum and his friends from a terrible fate
As all the Zelda Manga collection its a retold storyline of the game with some brief turns and new characters that enrich zelda's world, don't wait u are going to read how link resolves each dungeon puzzle he encounters, only that some more action wouldn't harm anyone, but whats done its done and the artwork is great!!!!!! some if u are a zelda fan this is a must have, enjoy ur reading!!!
Great way to get kids (boys esp.) to read!

As both the mom of a 6-year-old boy and a high school English teacher, I was FRUSTRATED with finding materials my son would pick up and read on his own. When he found this series he wasn't quite ready for true chapter books, but he was well beyond the typical "leveled" reader. This series has filled a nice gap for him. He loves, loves, LOVES the Zelda video games, and he has devoured this series of books. He found the first one in a book store on vacation last summer, and we read it with him. He read it to himself a second time, then begged for the next in the series. He has now read all 9 that are available -- and he has read them all himself! I can't stress how thrilled I am to see him successfully entertaining himself with (gasp!) a book. While I wouldn't call this great children's literature, I will say it builds confidence and expands vocabulary.
Wonderful!

This entire series of books is a lot of fun to read- my five-year-old son loves everything that has to do with the Legend of Zelda! He enjoys looking at the pictures in the books on his own and having me read the story to him. A word of caution: there is the occasional "bad word" in a few of these books. I just censor out words I don't approve of since he cannot read on his own yet.
As good as the game

You'll enjoy this book if you liked the game it's based on. It offers more character depth than the game itself, as well as a different yet interesting plot that (kinda) sticks to the story of the Game Boy Color game. As for the drawings, you'll love every single one of them. I highly recommend it.
