A friend with whom I often discuss books suggested I read The Litigators and lent me her copy. I am an applied biologist by training and I work as a consultant in animal agriculture. I found the scientific nature of the book's plot to be intriguing and prescient to our times. The book did an excellent job of addressing the issues of professional ethics within the business of science. Because I am a fan of Grisham et al. by avocation, I found the legal aspect of the plot to be thrilling as well. It has been my experience that graduate students of the life sciences spend no time studying the subject of scientific ethics. It would serve all students well to read this book and others like it. They need to be aware that no matter your career choice (professional consultant, entrepreneur, or attorney), they will be faced with ethical dilemmas almost daily, often from unlikely and/or unexpected sources. As your read this wonderful novel, and I hope you do, ask yourself the following question--"Do I know someone like Henry Holten or Dillon Love, and whom would I rather have on my side?" The answer may surprise you!!
A book I couldn't put down

My roommate left this book on the kitchen table; I picked it up and couldn't put it down. The book provided great insight into the world of law and the battles fought in and out of the courtroom. I look forward to another book by this author.

I work in the profession and this is one of the best legal reads I've had in a long time. This is a true representation of our legal system. John Grisham watch out! I hope to see more by this author.

Outstanding. A real page-turner. The story keeps the reader asking for more...even past the very end. It sheds new perspective on today's litigenous society with a surprising twist at the end.
