A great beginning

As a sign language interpreter, I am often asked for "a book to learn sign". While a book isnt all it takes (it takes interaction with Deaf folks!), it is a fun start. There are few signs included --it is a typical mini-book. It just whets your appetite for more!I found the signs included in the book to be accurate, though a word of warning -- some signs are a bit regional. Be prepared to reconcile what you learn in this book to real life inteaction with proficient signers. The signs are illustrated through picture of Deaf signers. The descriptions are pretty accurate. I have bought this book for family and friends and recommend it highly!
