Left alone on the Cahill family ranch, Quin believes in making the most of the life he was born to. So, according to his late father's wishes, he's ruthlessly buying all the surrounding Cahill Crossing land he can get his hands on. Flame-haired Boston heiress Adrianna McKnight wants to forge her own path--from society girl to independent rancher--and has settled on Texas for her fresh start. Her new neighbor, Quin, doesn't like the competition one bit. But she's not going to let an infuriatingly sexy cowboy get in her way!
I tried to give this book a chance to get better but I got so tired of an angry hero and a Boston transplant who is arrogant. All they did was fight and accuse each other of trying to pull a fast one to make the other look bad. I got to page 86 and just gave it up. I have to many good ones to read that I am not going to waste my time. I have the other three in the series but it will be sometime before I even give them a try. I don't like leaving a bad review but sometimes you have no choice unless it is not to write one at all and let others find out for themselves.
