The Long, Lost Exit Home

The Long, Lost Exit Home by Chris Roberts is another great addition to the horror sci-fi traditions of Stephen King, Clive Barker and Dean Koontz. The reader encounters pulse pounding unspeakable horror in this terrifying dark fantasy thriller with a twist ending of delicious surprise! "Oh, good lord! I've never read something so... GRIMEY and GROSSSSS!! But I LOVED it. Aliens plus horror equals skin crawling, and that's exactly what The Long, Lost Exit delivers. Roberts' descriptions are--well... How should I put it? Out of this world? And he wastes no time getting to the point. The story begins with the headlines describing a massive "earthquake"--so they say-- *wink wink*. Also reported is some crazed serial killer that is mutilating females. (How all of this could fit into the same story plot beats me, but Roberts pulled it off.) That very same day, some poor sap encounters the creepiest ordeal of his life. My skin is still crawling just thinking about it! From here, the story changes point of views to a female hooking up with a guy she hardly knows. Yes, in the midst of the news broadcasting a serial killer, my suspicion bar binged, and with the turn of every page, my jaw hit the floor. As badly as I want to give insight about every chapter, I won't for then it will become spoilers. But I will say this--The Long, Lost Exit has something for every adult. From science fiction, to horror, to suspense and even romance. Lovers of all genres can enjoy this one, and I highly recommend it. Prepare to get your adrenaline going!"--Ava Reed "OMG!! The Long-Lost Exit Home by Chris Roberts will keep your heart racing and your armpits sweating after you have long finished the last chapter! Roberts' imagination is insanely wrapped around the macabre. All bets are off with this horror, thriller, romantic love? story. This is more than a story....it exceeds the average alien invasion, chainsaw murdering, Michael Meyers horror...with many twists along the way. The story begins with an undersea earthquake beneath the city of Sealand, California. Carl, who worked on the sewer systems, is assessing the damage under the city; only to become the victim of an evil, grossly shaped alien sea-monster. Roberts writes the horrid, graphic violence with such detail and imagination; I felt I was a part of the scene. The scenes of violence and terror are not for the squeamish! I have spent many nights with my lights on all night after reading Stephen King, Clive Barker, and Dean Koontz. I have added Chris Roberts to my list of horror writers who cause me to believe my own life is in danger of being ripped and shredded into bloody stretches of pandemonium. The main character, Laura, adds a bit of innocent friendliness to the alien horror and violent acts of mayhem that will leave you gasping for air. Laura is struck by one tragedy after another. She is only 19 years old and faces a myriad of ugliness and evil throughout the story. If you enjoy thrillers that keep you running for the mirror to remind yourself of the reality outside of this book; Chris Roberts' book will spellbind you!"--Johni Brand Wigal (Just a taste of written reviews by the readers.) You will even find some great horror poetry written by one of the characters in this novel!
