This fun book includes the kind of trivia that every Mac buff finds interesting or amusing. For example, Apple has always given secret code names to their projects; now all of those names are published here for the first time. Written by a respected Mac denizen, this is the book to read "when you have more important things to do".

Linzmeyer talks about the history of Apple in this comical documentry. You can find out about how Jobs ripped off Wozniak when they developed Pong for Atari. You can also find out about Steven Jobs' personal life. I get a monthly Linzmeyer update and from MacAddict Magazine.
Awesome. A "MUST HAVE" for any true Apple/Macintosh fan.

As an Apple enthusiast, I personally recommend this book. Along with Insanely Great, they give you an inside look into what really went on during the early days of the Macintosh. Having been thrust into the midst of that world recently, and dealing with the limelight of the MacUniverse, this book helped me see the truth amidst all of the lies. Thanks Owen! Oh, and for those that follow the Steve Jobs/Larry Ellison Email prank stuff, I am THAT MIKE MURDOCK.
Easily one of the best Mac books I've ever read

Linzmayer did an excellent job digging through the history of Apple. Though the book is intuitive in creative passages meant to be read at one sitting (in the bathroom for instance), you might find yourself reading this book for hours on end. Find out who's idea it really was to create the Mac. The address of the garage Apple Computer started in. Why Steve Jobs really wasn't liked very much, and what he did after leaving the company. Hundreds of code names to past products, tons of cool facts. An easy-going fun read I enjoyed very much. I only wish Linzmayer would make a second edition to write about what's been going on since the 1994 writing of this book
