Hailey's fear kept her on the run even when Rex tries to help her. Would Thad Jordan show up? He was obsessed with Hailey. What secrets was Sheriff Andy Cohen hidding? And what was Bentley McDaver, the prosecuting attorney up to? Did he have a reason to rush the trial? Did Randolph's defense attorney, Carl Pursley, help frame him for the murders? No one in Tin City wanted Rex to stir up old memories about the murders. It appears that someone wants him dead too. Danger to his birds, someone wants to get into his files, and looks who shows up dead. Great plot, fast paced, only slows down for the bed scene.
