The Man in the Basement was a very enjoyable, fast-paced read. The reader can expect to delve into the haunting dreams of a boy which eerily seem linked to the strange circumstances of his birth. As the boy's dreams intensify, so does the story. Henderson takes the reader through a barrage of events including chillng hypnotic sessions and the search for explanations both through conventional and non-traditionalmeans.Beyond the pure story, this book was personally satisfying because I found myself often questioning my owntraditional thought patterns and belief system. This book will allow you to consider that your own world is not always as predictable as it may seem.I will look forward to Henderson's next book which is expected to involve the human genome project.- J.V. 10-23-2001
