[Visual Basic for DOS] More accurately a "toolbox" than a "workshop", this wonderful book mixes a tutorial with more than 50 important Visual Basic for DOS controls Microsoft should have included but did not. Working from simple but useful examples to more complex tools, the book includes directory listing, file saving, editing, keyboard, mouse, help system, 'about' and advanced dialogs, BIOS info and access, forms, time, date, calendars, etc. Demonstrates almost all common controls such as list and check boxes, sound, graphics, draw, and other functions. It also covers advanced topics only available with the Pro version such as ISAM db, presentation graphics, and matrices. These superb listings with explanation will save you days and many headaches so you don't re-invent common control needs.
