This is by far the best "Self-Help" book, if you can call it that, that I have ever read. I originally purchased this book in 1997, and have read it several times since. The stories are very down to earth and realistic, as well as truly inspiring. This book is a "must read" for anyone suffering from depresssion, as it gives one hope in life. It is also great for anybody going through any changes in their lives because it shows the benefits of change itself. You can go back and refer to specific stories, or you may want to re-read the whole book like I did. A Great Book!!!

A book full of wisdom and inspiration

I start a lot of books I never finish but this one captivated and inspired me all the way through to the end. In fact, I was sad I had gotten to the end - I wanted more. If you feel your life is stagnant, not moving in the direction you'd like but fear making changes, this book is excellent, aromatic, finger licking good food for thought. If you're not an adamant protestor of change, it could very well be the kick you need to start you in forward motion. I'm the kind of person who kicks and screams and holds onto the door frame when it comes to accepting change, let alone welcoming it into my life (ha!). The changes, and hence the growth, have been very slow coming for me, but coming they are.I'm surprised there aren't any other reviews on this book. For me, it's a keeper, dear to my heart, and the rarest of books that I will come to again and again for strength, inspiration and motivation.Sometimes you find instant comradery in an author - this is true for me with Dennis Wholey - and I thank him for writing this book and touching my life.
