This is a great book for children! I loved reading the story of Austin Hutchinson, an 11-year-old boy, who has spent his life traveling with his abolitionist parents. When his mother gets sick, his family has to go to Charleston to stay with relatives. Austin is looking forward to living in the country, making new friends, and having some fun adventures. I loved the adventures and friendships in this book. I really liked when they pretended to be the first pilgrims coming from England to America. It showed that they could have fun and be friends at the same time. This book is the best book I have ever read.
