The Mommy Bride

The Mommy Bride by Shelley Galloway is a gem about taking chances. Claire Grant has gotten her life back on track. She has a job and place to stay for her and her young son. It seems like yesterday that she had nothing to call her own. Claire is grateful for what she has and doesn't ask for more. But a handsome doctor at the hospital where she works is making her desire more that just getting by in life. Doctor Ty Slattery has had his eye on Claire for a while. There is a quiet strength about Claire that Ty finds so appealing. Watching her care for her young son touches his heart as well. Ty slowly works his way into Claire world. Will one night of passion change everything? Finding herself pregnant was not something Claire had in her life plans. She isn't sure how this will change her budding relationship with Ty and how will it effect her son. When Ty gets a job offer out of town things get really confusing for the pair. Ty and Claire both are compelling characters that feel like your friends. You know what they are going thru and are pulling for them to find a solution. The Mommy Bride is another superb story in the writing career of Shelley Galloway. I can always depend on a book that will touch my heart.

Lane's End Memorial Hospital Nurse Claire Grant is attracted to the new member of the staff Doctor Ty Slater. However having spent time on the streets, she is wary of any relationship with anyone, but especially someone she works with who is in debt; instead she focuses on being the best single parent raising her teenage son Wes. Ty feels the same way about her, but owes a fortune in medical school loans so is as wary as she is. However, after a particular emotional wringing day at work, they do share one night only of passion; to both their euphoria and chagrin, she becomes pregnant. As Claire and Ty struggle with what to do about the unborn as well as their love for one another, each remains reluctant to forge a lasting relationship. This entertaining family drama stars two likable wary adults and an even more distrustful teen although he likes the nice doc. The story line is driven by the changing relationship between Claire and Ty as each love the other, but both have doubts. Readers will enjoy this fine contemporary romance in which baby makes four.
