We run in the money chase because we learn at an early age that with money we can buy what we want and because most everyone else we know is pursuing the same green goal. However, one of the problems associated with the money chase is that the government needs lots of money so they take a significant portion of what we earn before we ever touch it. In addition, clever marketing specialists manipulate our desires to tempt us into believing that we must have the latest gadget that they have for sale.For most the money chase and the good life are one and the same. That is, the good life working most of one's life for the government and for business in order to be able to buy what one wants. For some, though, the good life is freeing oneself from the money chase in order to be able to live as independent from government and business as possible. For them, the good life involves much more than money.
