I bought the Fool Investment Workbook before I bought the Investment guide. The workbook was so clear, concise and to the point that I couln't wait to read the page. I knew very little about investing before I bought the book, but now I feel very comfortable investing. Of course I still have a lot to learn but what a fantastic start by simply reading one book. Thanks David for saving me a lot of time and money in lousy investments.
Excellent source for retaining what you've learned.

I am new to the investment world and for the last year, I have read several books on investing. The problem was I didn't remember all those equations and definitions. I teach chemistry and I could not imagine teaching it without ever giving example problems. This is exactly what the workbook does. Now, I remember all those equations and definitions. Good job, Fools.
This book is a great investment tool for beginners

I have read many investment books and this book has the clearest explanation of understanding a companies annual report. It shows you the formulas to apply to the report to determine if the company may be having problems or ready to really go!Many examples to make sure that you are getting it. Loved this book.

A little background on where this review is coming from: I am halfway through this workbook, I have never read the other books of the Gardner brothers, but decided to post a comment about this one since what I have read so far is pretty good. I am currently studying personal financial planning and investment options. In my view, this book is a good starter. The approach is fun and easy, the humour used by the authors in their writing makes the topic much easier to digest. Other pluses are: you encounter the tables and exercises just as you need them-- so that exercises and illustrations/examples of calculations are done with the flow of the whole book. Also, the questionnaire that determines your risk level is pretty innovative. And the workbook gave me a great refresher of my college accounting course. But most of all, the pages I have read make GOOD COMMON SENSE. And this is what will help the novice investor to lay down a solid foundation for financial planning and investing. If you are a beginner in the world of investing, get this book. You won't regret it. :)
