Nearly twenty million people in North America have diabetes, and each year the number continues to grow. What's most distressing is that diabetes can be easily prevented by simply maintaining a... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book like all of Roger Mason's spell out who can benefit from them; in this instance the causes of of type II diabetes are given; a concise step by step method to follow including foods to eat; required exercise; and supplements. This information is then supplemented by extensive research projects that support Roger Mason's statements. I suspect behind all of the current prescription drugs is the presumption that patients will not change their eating or exercise habits even when warned of the necessity by their physicians. Roger emphasizes that the most important thing you can do is to eat right and exercise. Supplements are important but secondary. Most importantly, reasons for following each component are given together with blood parameters effected and what healthful levels should be. I found it particularly helpful that my blood test correlated significantly with the predicted results in Roger's book. Accordingly, I could see what I needed to do to get well and am excited to begin working on that today. Having read most of Roger Mason's books and I find them authoritative, helpful, and without extensive verbiage. It does appear that the books have small errors in them. Apparently, they were spell checked but not carefully reread before publication. Thusly, you may find such small errors as "date" where "data" is the correct word and the like. I do not feel this is enough of a detraction to merrit a ding so I give the books including this one 5 stars. I would recommend that Roger write one more book explaining his use of chemical/biological terminology for those who might be puzzled by his usage of more abstruse terms.
This book is right on!

Roger Mason is right on the money! What does this book teach? Your body has the ability to heal itself if you feed it the right foods. If you're willing to ear right, exercise and take appropriate supplements, you can have normal sugar levels. For me, it boiled down to just a few things. Eliminate "all" forms of sugar from the diet. Eat 100% whole grain foods. Eat legumes. Eat fish. Avoid high-glycemic foods. Exercise. Eat whole fruit after one year of Roger's diet. The author is a no-nonsense guy who deals with research and double-blind studies. He knows what he's talking about.
