A great series

This is a great series for beginning readers who like mysteries. The three kids in the book demonstrate positive character traits. These are written to an interest level of about 6 to 9 years old. The reading level is probably on an early 2nd grade level. This one is the least favorite of my son's books. Enjoy.

Ron Roy paints a coulourful picture of mystery & suspense about 3 friends who go to a dude ranch and discover that someone steals the gold nugget they found. They spend the week panning for gold, chasing down clues and narrowing down the suspects, all guests at the dude ranch. The story is interesting, but the plot was not all that believable, as it is unlikely that three 8-year-olds could catch a world-renown thief. Although this book is written for a slightly younger reader, mystery stories are always fun and enjoyable. I give this book 4 stars out of 5, because it was a bit slow to start off, but as the story developed, I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what would happen next

My brother likeS Mary Clarke books and he said he would find a mystery for me since I 'm to young to read his books.. I read it and it was the coolest book ever!!!!!!
