The Entire Norton collection is a must-own for anyone, especially though interested in reading the classics. It includes every piece of "important" literature ever written, with very detailed, well-written commentaries and footnotes to help you understand the historical setting of the piece. I bought them for class last year and have never regretted it. I am thinking of getting the American set next.
Informative, but not what I expected.

I found this book to be quite useful for studying the 18th century, but it is not what I expected. I am more familiar with the Prentice Hall version of this type of textbook. I did like that this book was a little easier to work with because of its size. The book did include the most relevant authors of the period, and the information on the works was plentiful. The book serves the purpose, for sure.
