This book appeals to all readers!! Chase is able to teach us all about the hardships of being one of the first female doctors. She also paints for us a picture of how bad off the female was in those times. Truly thrilling. Every word appeals to your very soul!!

In creating the characters of this novel, she has shed light on the obstacles the early women doctors faced to become recognized for what they could offer their patients. Catherine Stone is a heartwarming blend of beauty, brains, talent and compassion. I enjoyed reading this book and passed it on to friends.
