Excellent conclusion

Of the four books in the Californians series, I find myself reading the last two more. I was excited to find the two in one volume. Very handy and only slightly larger than an "average" book. The characters in these stories are believable, much more so than in some of Wick's other books (especially Bamboo and Lace). I especially enjoy the story of redemption in "Sean Donovan".
A great timeless series to read again & again!

Lori Wick has created a great series here! I bought these books in her "California" series, back when they were first released, and still read them to this day (ocassionally). She wrote such wonderful characters, that I can't help liking them, and wanting to re-visit their stories, over and over! The first book, "Whatever Tomorrow Brings," about Kaitlin, and the last book, "Donovan's Daughter," about Marcail are my favorites. Well-written and interesting, these books are definitely worth the read! Please be aware that you can buy the four books seperately, or in two volumes.

I especially like "Donovan's Daughter," the second book included in this compilation. "Sean Donovan" was also good, but I appreciated how Lori Wick developed Marcail's character in her book. These books provide a great conclusion to "The Californians" series.

Lori Wick has done it again. Another one of her great books where the characters come alive and the gospel is clearly represented. This is why she is one of my favorite authors. Lori, please keep them coming.
