I recently inheirited an early 1800's Pa Kentucky Rifle that had been in my wife's family since it was purchased new. I was curious as to the origin of the gun and the maker. After purchasing this book, I was able to determine that the rifle was manufactured in Huntingdon County, Pa., but the maker remains a mystery. I took the rifle to a Pa Longrifle show at our local Historical recently and individuals there confirmed it is a Huntingdon County rifle but still we could not determine the maker. Your book is right on the money in helping to identify the makers/local for these guns and is very informative regarding the history of Pennsylvania Kentucky longrifles. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about these guns.
