Most profound biblical book on character I've ever read...

I don't even have enough words to describe how brilliant this book has been. Bill Gothard did a remarkable job. I like to refer to this book as the "Character Book". It takes 49 character traits from the bible and matches them with their opposite. There are hebrew definitions, biblical quotes, a section for self reflection and so much information and research. The book is so full of scriptures and cross-references. I would definitly recommend this book to a new convert or someone who wants to take their faith to the next level. This was one of the books that has guided me through my Christian faith and after 4 years of being saved, it still challenges me to grow. It is perfect for a child or a mature christian. I've given mine away so many times, i need to keep ordering more!!

This is a book that you can pick up and put down anytime. Everything is organized superbly in alphabetical order by character trait. The beginning of the book states (paraphrased) that no one is able to obtain perfect character, only Jesus Christ obtained that. This book is good for everyone who loves the Bible. There are tons of quotes and pictures to keep your attention and the attention of children. I use it to study for my sunday school class. This would be great for a partent to read to children instead of watch TV. I could go on and on and on! There is enough on every subject to give you a couple of hours Bible study easily.

This book has revolutionized the word "character" as we know it. It is completely relevant to every area of your life. Struggle with worrying? Read Security vs. Anxiety. Do you get annoyed easily? Try reading Tolerance vs. Condemnation. Short-tempered? How about meekness vs. anger or patience vs restlessness. There is absolutely something for every situation in this book. It is 100% lined up with the Word of God and very applicable to your life! I would highly recommend keeping this book on the coffee table so you can always pick it up and check yourself!
