This book brings to the interested public an important perspective regarding the essential role of the feminine principle in our world today. Master Ni and his son Maoshing, issue a call to arms (the arms of your mother in this case) for everyone to recognize that women must exercise the inherent power of the feminine principle, in order to bring balance to our overly masculine culture. The Ni's speak encouragingly to women and encourage men to support their wives, mothers, and sisters in the recognition of the nurturing and life-sustaining nature of the feminine principle, resident in women and the men who support them. My husband and I are reading this book together and it exactly supports what it is we feel must happen in the world today for our civilization to reverse the aggressive and domineering trend of competitiveness that is destroying our ecology and culture and denying the intuitive wisdom of the mother principle, its rightful (and much needed,) place.
