Great book to teach the power of prayer

My daughter (4) received this book as a gift and we both love it. It is a great story about the power of prayer. She wanted to make our own prayer chain, as suggested at the end of the story, right away. Though we didn't start right away, we do now have our own prayer chain. We have a little notebook where we write down the things we want to pray for, when we started praying for it and when it was (or wasn't) answered. And when we have an answered prayer (we've had almost 30 in 4 months) we write it down on a piece of paper along with the date answered, decorate it and then add it as a link in our "prayer chain". It hangs on the wall in our kitchen. It is beautiful to have a visible reminder of God working in our lives. And it also makes a good starting point for the discussion of why sometimes God doesn't answer our prayers; that God knows and sees much more than us and He will always do what is best even if we don't understand it. Because of this book and the prayer chain we've implemented, my daughter and I are closer to each other and closer to God. I have already bought a few as presents for my friends' children. I highly recommend this book!
