The Problem with Prickles...not what you would have thought

There is really only ONE problem with this wonderful piece of children's literature, and one that only a four-year old like my daughter could point out so quickly - namely, that the aforementioned Prickles is not a hedgehog like the beanie baby likewise named Prickles that she has come to know and love, but a prickly porcupine instead. Once we were able to overcome this at-the-time rather large obstacle, we were both able to enjoy the story as well as the lessons accompanying it. Adorable illustrations and a clear and simple story line, with adorable characters like Bucky Beaver made the book a favorite in no time - highly recommended for children who are especially fond of forest friends. And in an adorable playtime exercise, I found my daughter and friends re-enacting the story with their beanie babies, trying to convince "razzy" not to be scared of the beloved prickles just because he was different...
