THE PURSUIT OF REVIVAL is the story of evangelist Steve Hill's conversion to Christ and his hunger for revival that led to the Brownsville revival. Written during the revival and published in 1997, Steve Hill wants his readers to hear his heart's cry against his own sins and failures, the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ, and how we are to be seeking God for continued revival. Overall this is a fasinating story as Hill moves from his teen years of sin and rebellion to his arrest and his salvation through a Lutheran pastor. Hill recounts his early struggles with his pride and flesh and how God led him to seek His face early on and dive into His Word. Hill recounts the early days of the revival in Argentina and the revival in Brownsville that lasted until 2003. I would like to have seen more teaching on prayer and repentance in this book but this is personal account by Hill and not a teaching book per se but nonetheless I believe this was the hallmark of the Brownsville revival: prayer and repentance and it should have been included more. Still a solid book to read and no doubt will stir up your soul to seek God for true revival.

Steve Hill takes the reader through the steps that led him to revival in his own life and eventually to the Brownsville revival. I was so caught up in the passion and hunger that he has for God that everytime I picked this book up, I felt the need to repent and seek God's face for revival! This is must reading for anyone wanting revival in their own life!
