Read the book to my son when he was very little. Wanted to have a copy for myself. Wonderful book.

This was one of my favorite books to read to--and later, be read by--my son. And he liked it, too. Calming illustrations, and prose that paints a poetically peaceful picture. A great end-of-the-day read. Love the ending. Let's not overanalyze it, it's simply short and sweet. I liked it a lot and think you will, too. Relax with The Quiet Evening.
