Lovely stories for young girls

These three sweet stories remind me of American Girl stories. They reflect the innocent hopes and dreams of real children. If they are "good" children someone will surely come to save them. If they do a simple kindness it will be multiplied and come back to them. They will find a way to help their family or buy their mother a pretty present. They can suspend belief and accept that animals can talk for one hour after midnight on Christmas Day. These are the classic writings of an important American author that can be enjoyed as much by children and adults today as when they were written.

I absolutely love this book. I have never been one to journal my thoughts, but this book makes it so easy. I love how the devotion stories lead right into the questions that you answer. At first I didn't write too much, but the more days I read it, the more I wrote. The questions really get you to thinking deeper than you would just reading the Bible verses and the stories. It has totally changed my quiet time with God. I look forward to getting up every morning and sharing my thoughts with Him. Another thing that is so wonderful about it is that it will be a wonderful keepsake for my children. It is a beautiful book inside and out, and it is the best of a devotion book and a journal.
