I first borrowed this book from my public library. I was captivated by the author's descriptions and impressions of her mental illness (manic-depression aka bipolar) and the toll it takes on one's life and those around them. The book gives the reader a first-hand glimpse into their world, helping those of us not afflicted by this disorder better understand how debilitating and de-humanizing it is,and the constant struggle they live with.
