Readers also learn about the evolution of Roman art and how the organization of their military enabled them to rule over most of the Western world. The table of contents makes it easy to locate the most interesting aspects of the Roman culture.The Romans presents a quick and comprehensive summary of a remarkable civilization. Unfortunately, some chapters are dull, while others are extremely engaging.
