Over 70,000 copies sold - the brand new edition of the bestselling guide to better relationships. NOW WITH 10 NEW RULES A personal code for happier, more fulfilling relationships Strong, loving... This description may be from another edition of this product.
this is an excellent book. it's not about trickery or schemes to meet a mate or keep a mate. it's all about the basics of love. it should be required reading in high school and/or college. it tells you the key rules (based on the author observing couples that seem happy) to have better love relationships. the first part talks about finding love. the bulk of the book talks about maintaining and growing love in a relationship. there are also tips for parting or ending relationships, family relationships and love rules for everyone. i would recommend this book for everyone. it's not rocket science and you probably know these things but it's good to be reminded and sadly there lots of people that don't know these things and when you get involved with people that don't know and/or apply the rules of love it can be challenging. i think anyone who is concerned with being a better person and having better relationships will find value in this book.
A great relationship book

Let me start by saying - and I never start by saying this - that I LOVE this book. The Rules of Love lays out the rules in a simple, straightforward no-nonsense way that spoke to me directly. After reading it - and referring to it more than once - it seemed like an obvious way to approach the relationships in life. Despite that, the /Rules/ addresses issues that most of us get wrong most of the time. In my humble opinion, if people followed these rules, the divorce rate would plummet. The focus of the rules is basic: love the person you're with actively, as a verb, and make it count. The details are important, and cannot be described here. Therefore, I recommend you get your own copy and start following the rules yourself. Reviewed by Kim Shults

I really like this book. It's easy to read in short chapters (100 of them), well-organized (finding love, keeping love, maintaining, etc), it's written in an accessible, understandable way, provides concrete examples of what to do - and not do - that are clear and make good sense, and isn't slanted toward either gender. It's good advice for all relationships, but especially love relationships.
