As a student of religion and ethics, I found this text to be treasure trove of insightful reflection and analysis of Holy Writings throughout the ages. The combination of respectful thought and academic analysis provides a gentle yet assertive statement on the common heritage we all share and in many ways pursue. What a gift it is to realize that we don't just arise from the same germ, but we also share a common spiritual lineage.

This exquisite book provides an enlightened view on the history of the world's religions and the common insights that lay at their essence. I was required to read it for a summer World Order Studies course, and never have I read a textbook that I enjoyed as much as this. It actually makes history fun! Unlike most books on comparative religion, the author provides a very objective view by treating every religion as is it were his own, while acknowledging their inherent truths. What a truly enlightening and insightful experience Professor!:)
