Mentor for new stay-at-home Christian moms

Brought this book 3 years ago when I first stay home. This book provides practical suggestions as to how a stay home mom can better utilize resources and save time and energy. The book also spent a chapter discussed how a stay home mother can start a home business. I think you have to be a Christian mother to cherish and appreciate the layout of this book. The author discussed the impacts of a Christian mother to her children; and how the decision of staying home can bring blessing to the family and the community.

If you have to make a decision or have even made it already this is a great book. It is easy to get frustrated and wish for something else but Donna helps you keep things in perspective. Whenever I feel discouraged about staying home I pick out certain parts of the book and read it along with the bible verses she gives. I have read it over and over and will continue to do so.

My husband gave this book to me as a gift, as we were struggling with the thought of making the necessary sacrifices for me to stay at home. I have read this book MANY times before, during, and after our decision for me to become a stay-at-home mom. I credit this book for providing us with the encouragment (Biblical, as well as moral) to make the right decision for myself and my family. This book was truly a blessing to us.
This book is a must have for all moms-stay at home or not!

I was a bit frenzied and feeling unappreciated being a stay home mom- until I read this book! It totally put my "job" into perspective and gave me a fresh, new outlook on my life. The advice and encouragement Donna gives is extremely contagious! I am using many of her tips in my life now. My whole family is the better thanks to Donna and her wonderful book.

"If you think you're alone, you're not!" This is the best way to describe this excellent book in a nutshell. Donna Otto writes in a humorous, yet very serious and straight forward manner about the choice of being a stay at home mom. It had everything I was looking for and more.... From moral and Biblical support for my choice or decision to stay at home to practical ways of being a good wife/mom/friend/companion and to be good to myself too. Taking it from someone with experience, who already "delivered the goods", this is a MUST for every woman who are either already staying at home or who are faced with the dilemma of choosing between going back to work after the baby or staying at home.
