Crashlanded on Planet Four, Addy and her precarious group of allies find themselves in the middle of a war larger than they can imagine. Fleets of seemingly automated machines abduct every person they can find as they thresh away at the other side: Continent sized forests of massive mushrooms, tended by a people called the Vivilii. Choosing the Martian natives over certain abduction, Addy and Co. find themselves just as compelled when the Vivilii realize these young newcomers have education and skills long lost in their civilization. It doesn't help that the Vivilii are masters at brainwashing. Can our heroes navigate saving this fallen race from destruction, while keeping their personal identities intact?
