Let me start this off by saying this: For all who did not love this novel, you really do need to start at the beginning of the series. It is not mandatory, but it does help with knowing the characters and their histories. I read some reviews where the person reviewing it didn't really enjoy the story because they got lost and couldn't keep the characters straight. Hence, why I prefaced my review how I did. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed The Stills as much as I enjoyed The Widows and The Hollows. Fantastic characterizations and story development. Jess Montgomery is a consummate story teller and it is hard not to love her novels . . . at least for me. I am now going to start on The Echoes, but I must admit, I really am not looking forward to the ending of this series because I just want more and more. Thank you Jess Montgomery for a great series.
