When Little Mole looks out of his hole, something lands on his head. In a tale of rollicking fun, Little Mole questions each of his neighbours - a pigeon, a horse, a hare, a goat, a cow and a pig - trying to find out if they did it on his head. In the end he gets his own sweet revenge.
this was recommended to me for my toddler when she began to potty train. She still enjoys reading this. It is silly and you get to see all the animals poop. Very funny, I think I laughed more the first time I had read it than she ever has.
What kind of Poo is on YOU!

You know this book is really cute cause lets face it kids are shameless! They don't blush when they let out a little burp or hide after they pass a little gas most of them think its quite funny so the subject of this book is right up their alley. I think the story is hilarious and done finely in the aspect that its not gross or too graphic. Little Mole pops out of his hole only to be surprised with a little doogie falling plop right on his head and so he sets out on a quest to find the culprit of this mysterious dropping. He interviews a series of animals and finds out what their excrement looks like and in the end does a little dropping of his own. It's a hoot plain and simple and sure to make everyone laugh with its clever descriptions and funny animal expressions!

This is one of the cutest books i've ever seen. Not only is it clever and charming but it actually makes kids think about their "business" in a healthy, funny way. The illustrations are adorable and help you really get a sense of the characters' personalities immediately, even if they appear only on one page. Its a short and simple little treat and I highly recommend it for kids and adults alike.
The Story of the Little Mole Who Went In Search of Whodunit

My sister sent this book to me several Christmases ago and it has become a tradition for Christmas reading at our family get together even though it has nothing to do with Christmas. It is wonderfully illustrated and the "reading" takes on a life of its own in shared entertainment value. It is a great book to read aloud to a group and appeals to all ages. It is so funny. I loved it.

One of my students brought the original German version back from her summer in Germany. I read it to my high school German classes, a la kindergarten teacher. They loved it - and learned a lot of vocabulary! Only the Germans would produce such a thing. I have three small nephews and nieces, and I would love to find it in English to put in their Christmas stockings. The pictures alone are priceless.
