It was an assignment she couldn't refuse. Ultracapable assistant Sally Gregg had to take care of her boss for one week. No phones. No computers. No stress. Not an easy task considering Vince Donnelly was a workaholic--a tyrant she had little use for outside the office. Then the business tycoon decided seducing his secretary would be the ultimate way to pass the time....
The heroine is employed as the hero's secretary and is forced to take care of him at his home during an illness. She doesn't look forward to this task because he is seen as being difficult and uncaring by her and the other employees at his company. Due to debts from her previous marriage and ex-husband (who she is hiding from) she can't lose her job so must help her boss recover. The heroine stays with the hero and takes the Doctor's orders, that he must relax, very seriously. He isn't pleased with her method of keeping him stress free and this provides for laugh-out-loud exchanges between them. Due to their close proximity and constant contact they really get to know each other and he turns out not to be as difficult as originally thought. They continue their relationship after his recovery, but of course, misunderstandings challenge it. I truly enjoyed reading this book, the hero quickly turned out to be a likeable character. The hero and heroine sizzled!
