Peter WJ Hayes, happens to be a former workmate of mine, and when I heard he was now a published Detective Novel writer, I picked up the first of this series, just finished the second, and am quickly ordering the last two. They are engaging, a step-by-step unraveling of a police case, set in Pittsburgh (follow along the narrative of local neighborhoods), and great character development. Peter's style keeps you turning the pages as he does not reveal anything until it happens, with a twist at the end of each case that on your own, would not have expected.
