Bonnie was on the phone with her husband Rod while driving home from work when she sees light in the sky. She pulls over to record it on Facebook live and ends up recording her own abduction. Rod is distraught and grief stricken when he realizes he is too late to save her. He holds their family together waiting for her to return. When Bonnie awakens in a hospital she meets a doctor who wants to help her figure out where she had been and what happened during her absence. But this is no longer the home she left, there is now a world council that has mandated voting globally. The world council is not impressed with Bonnie's adventure or her return.
