An inexpensive an practical guide to Tool Steels

There always seems a real shortage of good tool steels in our world. It's almost like the steel makers have lost focus for a while. This little book is an inexpensive and very useful guide to a select few, and how to use them. Not all steels are easily available everywhere in the globe however. I find Heat Treatment, Selection, and Application of Tool Steels an indispensible companion to this little book and keep both in my lab workshop. The Tool Steel Guide has some little gems worth knowing, especially if you are particularly focussed on metal stamping applications, although it is not constrained to that function. It is really a pocket or bench ready reference of a superset of tool steels and I have found it to be great value for money.
