My daughter bought this book ... when she turned four. She just turned ten and still loves to have this story read to her and her siblings. I think they love both the story (slightly scary) and the amazing illustrations.

This is a fabulous story my twin boys love to read over and over! The art is stunning and intriguing - a typical African tale dealing with good and evil and enchantment . . . A great African book - my boys are 3 1/2 and they love it, but I could see kids liking it up to 8 or so.
