What a wonderful and straight forward cookbook. It is easy to use and the title could not be better! The recipes are short and the ingredients are ones most of us already have in the kitchen. I bought this for my husband when it first came out and it is now dog eared and tatered, it is his favorite book. I must say that I did not think that would be the case as there are no pictures, but with the recipes this easy who needs them? We have yet to come across a recipe we did not like. I now buy one for every novice and serious cook in my life.I recommend it to everyone!
Really is more than a cookbook!

In other words, it lives up to its name! I have had this book for 10 years, and have used it countless times. In addition to recipes, Mr. Barber entertains with stories and humour. It is a very instructional reference book, as well.These are recipes to make, time and time again.
