This is a book of sermons written by one of the greatest members of the clergy in this country. Although the sermons were written and directed at the USA and the world in the grasp of WWII, the message relayed in each sermon is very real to the way our world is today!! A must read for those of faith and courage in our country!!

The late, great, incredibly eloquent Peter Marshall delivered these sermons during the Second World War. I find it mind-bending that the thoughts and concerns of which he spoke in his sermons then are so very relevant today when we are again at war, albeit against a very different foe. With the exception of some (time-relevant) "sexist" remarks (Peter Marshall lived and preached in the 30's and 40's)they could easily be thought of as contemporary. Marshall's son, Peter, selected the sermons in this volume, and had he known what would be happening today, he could not have chosen better.
