Nice book - good start, well written, interesting ghost story within a ghost story angle. It ultimately ends up with nowhere to go, having escalated beyond the nieghborly confines that gave the story its earlier charm. The ending is therefore dissatisfying - the last act not fitting what came before. Better suited to advanced 4th graders and over than to yuonger kids. This is a ghost story. It may be a little intense for some kiddies.
